This month The Gloss jewellery editor Natasha Sherling featured my Hollow Pearl Ring in "Six of the Best" in Decembers issue.

I'd like to wish all my customers, new and returning, from the National Crafts & Design Fair, online customers and those who visited the studio over the past year a very Happy Christmas.

The last day for online orders is 19th December to make sure you have your pieces for Christmas.

The studio will be open until Friday 23rd December for those last minute gifts.

Terminal 2 Jewellery Exhibition

November is officially Jewellery Month
and to celebrate, the Crafts Council of Ireland
have organised an amazing exhibition in Dublin Airport's Terminal 2.

The exhibition features 16 of Ireland's jewellery makers and I'm delighted to be one of those makers!

Demonstrations will be given throughout the duration of the exhibition.

So if you're passing through terminal 2
(i'm a poet and i didnt know it)!
have a browse and pick up one of the beautiful catalogues and maybe do some Christmas shopping.

Designworks Studio Exhibition

The Adornment Edgymonochrome photographic exhibition will launch in Cork this Thursday- 22nd September in Designworks Studio.

Pop into the gorgeous studio / gallery on Cornmarket Street for some Irish coffee and amaretti biscuits on Thursdays launch night.

The exhibition runs until 20th October and includes my Cube Pendant which featured in the Adornment shoot
and the new Oxidised Orb Collection.

Vogue Fashion's Night Out

I'm delighted to announce that a new collection
of my work will be exhibited in Brown Thomas from
Thursday September 8th - 18th.
A special Irish Designers pop up shop will be
launched on the night.
So if you're out and about - pop in and say hello.

RUA RED's Gallery 1 was recently used for filming RTE's Operation Transformation.
The gallery looks fab and it's inspiring to have a studio in such a dynamic building!
There's alot of adjectives for you!!

For the last few weeks....

I have been working on a new collection inspired by
the use of triangles in architecture.

Made with sterling silver wire, this sculptural brooch
is carefully built up and oxidised (blackened)
to give a strong silhouette.

Looking forward to displaying the entire collection
in the studio and an amazing upcoming exhibition which
I will keep you informed of.

I'll miss this one....

Saying goodbye to this pendant today.
One of my favourite's.
I get very attached to some pieces
and i'll miss this one....
It was included in my first exhibition in the National Crafts Gallery in Kilkenny.
It's hollow formed and the raised design is on the
front and back which makes it very tactile.

Leitrim Design House

Last weekend I finally got the chance to visit the
Adornment exhibition in Leitrim Design House
Adornment - Edgy Monochrome is a collaboration between
photographer Agata Stoinska and
producer/ art director Eddie Shanahan.
I was delighted that my work was chosen to be
photographed for this exhibition and is well worth a visit.
Adornment runs until 31st July.

I have been busy in the last few weeks creating new pieces inspired by this sketch I did a few months ago.

Fridays Exhibitions

A BIG Thank you to everyone who attended the Foyer and Ornament exhibition at RUA RED on Friday.
There was a great turn out and hopefully there will be more craft exhibitions held in the centre.
The exhibitions run until June 18th so there's plenty of time to get a visit in and dont forget to pop in to Studio 6 and say hello.

Foyer Exhibition

Tomorrow, Friday 13th May 2011, is the launch of my Foyer Exhibition where i have new work on display in the reception area of RUA RED where my studio is based. It's my first "solo" exhibition and im delighted at how it's turned out!

The exhibitions continues until 18th June and runs along side Ornament - an exhibition of brooches designed and made by some of the finest contemporary studio jewellers based in Ireland and the UK. The exhibition highlights current trends and celebrates the rich diversity in European jewellery.

Visitors are more than welcome to pop into the studio and say hello!
